I haven't had any problems with any LPS or SPS that I have and I decided I would give an elegance a shot even though I know people have not had any luck. It was great for about a week or so nice long tentacles now it has receded and lots of skeleton is showing. Is there any hope of recovery? Would it hurt to leave it in the tank? It still has some color somehow but looks pretty much gone. Here are some pictures, let me know.

It does look bad, sorry to hear that. You can leave it in the tank with the hope it will regenerate should it die. It is common with LPS coral.
