Hey everyone, I just got my new Current Nova Extreme pro 48 in model with 6 T5 bulbs earlier in the week and today went to the LFS and got my first coral frags!

I got a frag of some green zoo's, with a purple ring and an orange ring in the middle. I also got a small frag of a green star polyp. I would just like people to put their input in as to experience with these corals, ie growth rates, hardiness, placement, useful info, etc. Any information helps.

closer to the light, the better. My GSP are growing like mad. I'll need to make an underwater lawnmower pretty soon! Good luck!

Actually dont put the zoas or gsp close to the light. They like low to moderate light, do best at the bottom of the tanks. Gsp grows like crazy as do zoas!!! Have any pics? The zoas sounds cool!

Put the GSP on a rock where you can control it's growth. It does well in about any light.

In the middle of the sand, away from everything else. These things spread like mad.

My zoas spread the fastest in the shade of a leather coral near the bottom of the tank.

I have the same light fixture as you and love it. I didn't keep the stock bulbs though. I heard lots of complaints with the stock bulbs so I switched them out immediately. The Current actinics look very dim imo.

Sorry for the blurry quality of the pictures, I am using my girlfriends Sony Cybershot 7.2 megapixel camera and I dont know how to work it very well.

The first shot is of the green star polyp (and it has another small purple frag on it that I do not know what it is). The second is of the green zoo.
