I just got home tonight to discover that my diamond watchman goby decided to jump out of the QT. I knew I was taking a chance with him but he didn't try anything crazy for at just about a week. No more jumpers until Ive got a proper lid. lesson learned the hard way I suppose.

Sorry to hear about your loss. :(

Unfortunately, most reef fish are not accustomed to being so close to the surface, and therefore are susceptible to "jumping" as they dart about because they lack any natural instinct guarding against flying out of the water and landing on a dry surface. While some may be better known for jumping, IMOPE, it can happen to any of them.

I will be getting another eventually. just need to figure out a top for my tank. Bow fronts aren't the easiest thing to get a good top for.

Thought I had lost my niger trigger. Disappeared for 2 days. Then I looked in one of the overflows and there he was. Thought he was dead. Looked dead. Netted him out and he jumped in the tank. 3 days later he appeared no worse for the ordeal. I have to get a cover I guess.......
