    yeah I realize I'm going to have to augment with live trigger pods, but darn it that fish is just cool looking.

    Yup, an inch per gallon is a bad idea. Whoever said an inch per five gallons is right on IMO. Especially in a reef tank. You can push it to 1:4 for no more. Also, I have a mated pair of false percs and I love 'em. They are great. Much personality, especially in the female. So don't be scared of the not so true percs. They are cool.

    If you decide to get a mandarin for that tank, be patient and wait for one that eats frozen food. Without this it will die for sure, and even with it eating frozen, you won't have a great chance for success. Wait for the 120 to do a mandarin. I think 2 Ocellaris and a Royal Gramma sounds good for a 24 gallon tank, but you could also add something like a clown goby or neon goby. Those guys bring great personality.
