im saying that peice you put down is going to help, but i dont think its going to provide the same support as a properly built stand. there is no vertical supports directly in each corner. its your tank, im just giving you my input. it may very well be enough support, but i tend to overbuild things too lol

I agree with this. Nobody is trying to be negative here, just give a heads up. We wanna see you succeed, and it would just suck to have your tank crack a couple months after setup. Your talking about a lot of water being contained inside of glass, its always better to overbuild and be safe than be sorry later.

I would say maybe remove those L brackets and cut a piece of wood to run the length of the stand to replace those brackets. Then use some small lag bolts to attach it to the stand instead of screws.

I'll look into it, had a little fender bender today so I had to waste some money I would have rather used here.

Blue Tang has HLLE I believe. I got him this way. I was buying 50 or so lbs of live rock from a guy that was breaking his tank down, sold him to me for $15 so I thought what the heck might as well try and heal him. Pretty sure I'm feeding him a better diet than the previous owner. Right now he's eating flakes, mysis, and nori.

Been tweaking my dual heater set up to run together correctly. Tomorrow I plan on picking up a grow light for my fuge and having some tops made up for the fuge as well.

Great set up, your 50 gallon sump/fuge will almost guarantee success!

I used as much of my old water/rock/substrate as possible. My phosphates are at 0 but my nitrates had a little spike of about 15. I blame that on using my old aragonite in the fuge, think stirring it up may have done that to me. So far no real algae blooms or anything like when I first started my original tank.

BTW keeping an eye out for stands/designs but it's a bit of an involved transition at this point haha. May take me a second.

Just back from Lowes. Picked up a nice little 22in. T8 15w grow light costed me $14.95 for my fuge. Definitely excited to see how it works for me!
