Home Depot here in California does not cut glass. And the only glass that they have, at least here is like the not even an 1/8 inch thickness. My experience has been better served by going to a glass shop with the dimensions and getting a thicker glass. 1/4" pieces are really cheap and almost if not cheaper than hd or lowes. IME.

Leak test completed! The tank sat there collecting dust. What's the most effective way to clean it? No windex right?

Vinegar is great, takes off everything. It dissolved all the old algae off the used tank i bought. And if you can find a local glass shop for your glass pieces. They will clean up the edges and make everything nice to work with, its worth looking into

I used an LCD cleaner solution to wipe down the inside of the tank.

    1 Part Distilled Water
    1 Part Isopropyl Alcohol (70%)

Am I screwed? I'm afraid it might screw with the silicon and the seals? Will it harm livestocks?

I'd get some vinegar, clean it again and maybe run carbon for awhile once its up and running. People use bleach and dose vodka... I'd imagine the rubbing alchohol will mostly evaporate.
