Good start, looks like your heater is riding a little high. I would fully submerge it to be safe.

That is extremely well done for a first tank. I wish my sump was that well thought out.

I have a 125 saltwater tank set up for 4 months now. 125 pounds of liverock 100 pounds of live sand. fluval fx 5 filter (with pre fliter media, carbon, bio media) 400 watt heater 2 koralia 4 pumps, 150 seaclone skimmer (i know junk but mine is actually getting a half cup a week on a new tank). lighting is 4 65 watt cf's 2 of which are 50/50 ( i know low but all i can afford right now) live stock is one yellow tang about 4 inches 1 blue mandarin goby ( lots of copepods for it to eat) some pom pom xenia, green star polyps, hawaiian feather duster, and only 4 nassius snails. water levels are salt .022-.023 ph steady 8.2 am 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10-15 . well i guess my questions are waht can i do to lower nitrates ( i do 10% water changes weekly) and also what else could i add to this setup with the lighting i have. by the way this is my first post so not sure if im posting in the right place.

You might want to start a your own thread but from my knowledge, decrease lighting, reduce feeding and water changes are a couple quick fixes
