    Do the peppermints mess with anything else in the tank? Like soft corals, etc?

    Nope. Peppermints are harmless and pretty much always hide.
    I used to have a few and they only came out at night.

    Kalk seems to work most of the time for me. I have a few little ones cropping up, but know they are like roaches. If I see 4 there are 40 hidden. My LFS has been out of peppermint shrimp for over a month. :(
