I found a deal on craigslist I couldn't pass up, the tank had been neglected and the only living things left in it were hermit crabs, snails and lots and lots of algae.

It's a 90 gallon reef ready glass tank and stand. I added standpipes to reduce the noise flowing down into the sump, it has a kent marine Nautilus Turbo Eductor Protein Skimmer (I can't find any manuals online for it, but it's producing brown sludge so it's gotta be working), box of bio balls, 8 T5 HO lights mounted to the hood but no reflectors, 120lbs+ of live rock and some live sand.

After some tinkering around and getting everything put together I put new water (RO/DI from the local grocery store and Instant Ocean). I let the water circle the tank for a few days then added a cleanup crew 4 emerald crabs and 2 money cowries. A few more days and everything seemed stable (fresh growth on my live rock and happy cleanup crew) I added a yellow eyed kole tang who has been very happy chomping away at the feast of algae.

So now my wife and my saltwater adventure begins.
