Hi all, well I am working on building a custom cabinet for my 75 gal DT and 30 gal sump.

    Things I have built:
    Cabinet: 53" x 58" (with a 10" overhang for seating)
Separating the living room and kitchen. I have separated the cabinet into to sides. The living room side will house the sump and other stuff. The Kitchen side will be used for extra storage for kitchen stuff.

    Things I am working on:
    The cabinet.
The sump. I have to take down my freshwater tank for this.
    The plumbing.

    Things I have purchased:
    A Eshopps PF-800 overflow.
    1 koralia 1050 I plan on getting a second.
    1 Koralia 425 I plan on getting a second.
Shop light with a daylight bulb for the sump.

I got about 65 lbs live rock from a friend. I am currently seeding it with some LR from my LFS.

    Things I plan on using:
    Reef sand.
    t5 lighting. a 4 bulb system

I am sure I have forgotten some stuff. What I did not forget was the pictures. I will try to add those in the next day or so.

I am still working on a lot of stuff but I have decided to put a framed panel on the living room side. I saw someone suggest that on another build and liked the idea.

OK, I know I have not done a good job of updates. I am far enough along that I thought I would try a wet run of the plumbing: Leak check, overflow test, and return pump test.
I found a few small leaks, not a big deal to fix.
I figured the overflow out, that thing work great, it’s an eshopps pf-800.
Had to adjust the return pump plumbing, no big deal here either.
The issue I am having is that it appears that when the power goes off the return line is creating a siphon back to the sump.

Any solutions to this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

OK did the correct thing and did a search. All I need to do is drill a small hole just below the water line to break the siphon.

That is normal, just drill 2 anti-siphon holes at the same level as the overflow weir in the return line inside the tank. Make them at least 1/8" if not 3/16" in diameter.

    Thanks 2in10.

I will be starting the cycle next weekend, if I get my ro/di unit this week.
