I see some pink coralline. I see what MAY be red coralline or MAY be cyano. If you swish your hand in front of the red stuff, does it float off into the water column or does it stay on the rock? Take your fingernail....does it scrape off easily? Red coralline is good and won't blow away or scrape off easily. Cyano shows that you either have a fairly new tank or you have excess nutrients.

Does it blow away or scrape off easily?

I have noticed Cyano in my 65 gallon reef set up too lately, I think it is weak lighting. I am making a custom hood with 2 x 250 watt MH lights. Should be done in a week or two. Question to you all... Will a "Sea Hare" eat red Cyano algae? I hear they do great on hair algae, was wondering about eating the red junk too... Lemme know what you think.. Thanks in advance, Freshtosalt

P.S. trying to get pictures posted to show the tank now that everything is better.
