I'm going on vacation next week but after that i'm adding my first coral. I'm looking for something that will grow reasonably quickly but not infest my tank instantly. I want the reasonably quick growth because I don't have the budget to build up my coral very quickly ( I know quick is a relative term with a reef), but I don't want to have one small area of coral for 3 months. Any suggestions?

You don't want something to over run your tank either get a leather of some type and Green starts or yellow polyps for color .

    How about some zoanthids/palythoas.

I'm going with Tangster. A finger leather is very forgiving. I know...everything I've put this poor coral through and it's still alive! Cut my first frag tonight(4 good fingers) and I've had it little over a year

Daisy polyps multiply quick and they are nice to look at, and if they claim a small portion of yer tank u dont mind. I love mine.

yellow polyps, definitely. As much movement as zenia, but with a nice warm color. Spreads fast, but not crazy fast. Gets my vote!
    Good luck,
