Today I bought my first SPS it was an green acro and i got a good deal on it in my mind. I have it about half way up, so it can get adjusted to the lights. Should I leave it here for a bit and then move it up or just move it now? Here is a tank shot to show where it is, and a close up. I just acclimated it and put it in about 30 minutes ago.

Very nice, you can move it up whenever you like IME.

what type of lights do you have? Do you know what type of lights it was under?
IME it is always best to start SPS down lower part of the tank (depedning on the light) and move it up higher every couple days. But if you know you have lower lights then the tank they came from then they can be placed at the top.

Congratulations. Soon you will find yourself searching for more fuzzy sticks. Lol that is what happened to me atleast. I love sps corals. Especially montis and acros.

Be careful because it'll get really expensive filling up your 55 gallon with the fuzzy crack sticks. I keep looking around for my next fix:)

The LFS had them under a 4 bulb t5 nova current extreme, and I have a four bulb retrofitted canopy with 2 ATI blue +'s and 2 ATI Aquablue specials. So a similar set up, but I think they have the stock current bulbs.

These two frags on the rock were only $7.50 so I figured I would try em, and im sure I will be hooked very soon, lol

Great deal indeed. not big into SPS just yet but I'm not sure if you have enough light. (I could be wrong)
