Decided to try saltwater after 3 years of freshwater, got all my info from mainly this forum and youtube. Around 19 lbs of live rock in the DT, pretty happy with the arrangement. Have a DIY LED kit on the way and got the typhon controller.

    coralife biocube 14
    DIY overflow
    5.5 gallon sump
    2 days old, cycling now.

Looks good. Who did you decide to use for your DYI LEDs?

I originally wanted to go with RapidLED after reading about them on the forum, but when I went to order I noticed it said "only works with oceanic biocube". So the cheapest alternative I could find was Nanotuner.com, found out it wasnt the original nanotuners, but I spoke with the owner of the company, very responsive and helpful, seems like a good product, so decided to give it a try.

Great start. Tons of places for corals.

    Got any fish ideas yet?

thanks, Gobies seem like good candidates, I've mainly been looking at corals so far, any suggestions for nano tank fish?

I like the Clown gobies, Yellow Tail Damsels (beautiful fish and in a small tank no aggression issue because there are not other fish) Fire Fish again solo. Cardinals, a lot of nice little Cardinals to choose from. You could go Watchman Goby and Pistol shrimp as well.
