i just got 2 new favias (my first ever). LFS didnt really say much about them. so i got a couple of questions. ;) do they extend feeder tentacles at night? how long does it take to grow out and off the plug? where should they be placed (pc lights in my 8 gal biocube) and what kind of flow do they like? thanks

I had mine in medium flow and medium light(T5HO and PC) they were about half way up the tank in other words, they will most likely extend some feeder tentecles at night, as do most LPS corals. They are not really fast growers, so you will have to be patient, you can target feed them for increased growth rate but it wont be like target feeding a frogspawn or acan.

Good luck on the new corals!
