you could go bigger...because with 15g you're kinda limited with what things you can put it in. I'd go with something like a 20g long.

I, also, have a 20g sump/fuge on my 90. I wish it were bigger. I have not packed as much as I am going to pack in there. No more room. If I had my druthers, I would go a 30g for the extra six inches in length. It's not much, but everything helps.

Well, I had got a REAL good deal on a 40gal breeder tank because of a small crack that would not have affected the refugium operation. However, stupid me THOUGHT it would fit under the stand, and it does not. So, needless to say petco was more than happy to take it back. They found out the guy gave me 50% off a $99 tank. Anyway, a local pet store has 30 gallon longs on sale for $64, so I will get that this weekend. Then, take it to a glass shop to get some glass cut to ensure exact fit.

I got a Mag-Drive 12 off ebay for $60, but the magnet had an ever so small chip and caused a clicking sound. However, they are sending me a replacement magnet, so all should be good. So, once I get the tank, and glass installed, I will start plumbing it all in and then should be ready to start making water, and buying live rock and sand.

Well, broke down and bought a Sealife Systems refugium at a local aquarium store for $200 out the door. It is similar to a RM200, but looks different than the one on their site. The total length is 30"Lx12"Wx15"T, so the refugium chamber it 15x12x15. Two inputs, and has the over with clear light window. I was looking at a minimum of $100 just to do a 30gal long tank and buying plastic for my chamber walls. So, decided that an extra $100 for a slightly better setup mostly inclosed would be a better deal.

i thank a good fuge depends on how much cheatomorpha you can pack into it lol.

maybe just a trickle filter with cheatomorpha with some flourscents or pcs taped to the sides.

that right you witnessed it i just came up with a trickle fuge. In years to come it will replace all the current fuges due to its superiority.

feel free to build your own.

sponges, activated carbon.... I would like if possible to post some pictures of your sumps.

which is the easiest way to have a tank clean and free as much as possible of algae?
