Went from Fri-Sun to lake ouachita in arkansas for the first time, some massive stripers in that lake here are the 2 I caught and the big fish from our boat for the trip as well, fishing got slowed down due to a cold front but we're going to try again in the spring

Nice! I am heading back to Norris Lake in Tenn. this Feb. A friend of mine caught a
54 1/2 pounder a few years back and I am hoping to do the same.

How do you prefer to cook your fish? I have only fried mine, but want to try something different this year.

on my striper rods I run 30# berkley powerpro braid, I had something on for about 45 seconds before it broke the line, I never got a single crank in was just holding on for dear life

I fry mine normally to, I have some some on the grill, when you clean them leave the skin/scales on the back side and just cut the fillet off the body, can toss that on the grill with some lemon slices on it and it comes out great, leave it on the skin to keep it from falling apart, you cook it about 70% through on the skin side down, then the rest after you flip it

I've also done fillets in alluminum foil bags with lemon pepper, blackening all sorts of ways it's good stuff

Lake Ouachita has had several 60+lbs stripers in the last year, summertime there by the dam there is no telling what you will catch as far as size goes, I know one thing I'm bringing bigger gear next time
