What type of glue did he use, I think that the same PVC glue that I have always used is inert once it dries, with that said the ATS is removed just in case and will be put back on after the ordeal....assuming any fish make it.

There are three types of PVC glue that you can get at most hardware stores... two mainly you find at home depot. I'd have to check mine but there is a big difference in chemical makeup. One is approved for potable water, the other is not, and the third (which most hardware stores don't sell) is used for waste water only.

Wouldn't think so considering how diluted any non dry glue would have been, plus it sat for 2 days... but I also did look at the glue and it is not the same that I normally use. This is a mutipupose version :-/ don't like the sound of this!

Just a thought, did/do you have an anenome in there? I have read when they die, they release toxins that would contaminate your tank.
I do know that my kh is always around 9-10 and I have no issues if that helps. Water changes quickly I would recommend my friend. Good luck and keep us posted!

I dunno, it's impossible to diagnose anything without a full detailed description of what's going on but if you just added a turf scrubber and all of a sudden your fish start dying I would take the scrubber offline ASAP. Assuming nothing else major was changed recently. No new additions to the tank, no major remodeling, reaquascaping etc etc?

Your tank was running for 10 years and within a week of adding the scrubber things start dying. Go back pre-scrubber, do some largish water changes in case it's some sort of pollutant, and see if things recover IMO.

Probably is the glue, or a remote chance of the screen material if it is a cloth with chemicals in it.

Not sure if this has been asked/answered already but do you have a deep sand bed?
