So my sixline (yes I know) is terrorizing the twinspot goby I just added to the tank. I knew there was a chance of this happening. Im just wondering if It will stop or if I should just start working now to remove the sixline. He's still a small six line but he's not very happy about the goby. Anyone have any suggestions.

you can change the rocks around sometimes this will stop the agression the sixline will have to find new territory to defend

ugh I don't even know how to catch the thing. he's being an A hole. I just moved my rocks around and it caused issues with my angel and clown they are over it so I would rather just remove the sixline which is going to be the Biggest pain in the A** ever.

Just went through the same thing adding a dottyback to my tank. Ended up trapping him and he got the boot. Search for DIY traps.

I made mine with a empty plastic apple juice jug, cut the top off so the hole was about 5" in diameter. Then attached a small mesh screen (you can get them at micheal's for less than $1) to the bottom of the jug with two zip ties, and then ran a line from the screen through a hole in the jug up and out of the aquarium. Use a turkey baster to squirt some food in there for feedings, and when the culprit enters, pull the line which closes the screen over the opening, and whalla!

Worked for me in less than 2 days.

    Good luck!

+1. I realize you've already fixed your situation. But, this is a very good way to confuse the fish and stop the aggression. If you aren't set on your aquascaping, turning off the lights and rearranging the rocks can work wonders.

How long did you wait before you saw the angel having issues? It too would have to "freak out" and adjust to the new scape. Basically everyone has to find a new territory.

Definitely a great way to introduce new fish if the ones in your tank are territorial. I have had a lot of success with doing this in my freshwater tank, can't say about salt, but seems it would work just as well.

This is what im going to have to do again I guess, my wrasse is just evil, the angle and clown had issues right after I moved my rocks a little bit, it still hasn't stopped between them and the angel is getting pretty beat up so Im going to try to move them again and introduce new fish...
