My tank is a 29g set up with soft corals. I was wondering if a Purple Firefish, a Six-line Wrasse, and a Long-Nosed Hawkfish would get along and if that would be to many fish for a 29g? Also would any of these bother my peppermint shrimp? Also if these all are OK what order should I add them in? I am still going to wait until the corals are good and established before get any fish but I was wondering your thoughts?

My recommendation is no more than 2 fish for a 29 gallon. Of the fish you are asking about the Purple Firefish and Six-Line Wrasse in that order. You are limited to about 6" of adult fish and those two will fit that bill. I would add them a month apart in the order I listed them.

If I had to choose two I would of liked to have the hawkfish and the wrasse. I like the personallity of the hawkfish. Any thoughs on that?

    Hawkfish reach 4 - 5" at maturity.

    Covey,

I have a small Hawkfish and I agree, wonderful personality, always darting about, stopping, looking and darting again. Not sure about keeping that fish with a shrimp though, maybe you had better check that part out as it ( the shrimp ) could become expensive fish food. :)
