that would make sense. Do they have a book out there that is written like:

    Copper -
    ----------------------
Used to kill marine ick and external parasites and everything else etc...

    Treatment - dose etc....

Possible Interactions - dosage will vary by salinity, don't mix with such and such, and

like a pharmacy book? But for fish disease and meds?

Yup, the Bassleer book I mentioned is pretty darn good for the price. Accurate, but not as indepth.

Noga's Fish Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment is the king.... asking a King's ransom.

The book I have hiding somewhere, is the Handbook of drugs and chemicals used in treatment of fish disease. A manual of fish pharmacology and materia medica. by Nelson Herwig. Very indepth book. It says "The author lists drugs and chemicals, their uses and directions. A must for the professional Aquarist. This book is not for the beginner".

okay cool, happy they have that info. I have a few books and they were theoretical I guess you would say for people going into that field later in life....I just want this does this b/c of that in a handy format. :) A few people mentioned I should get the Noga book, I will have to check it out.

the Nelson book sounds cool, sounds over my head too :). Sometimes those handbooks for people in the field are littered with jargon... is the Noga understandable without a specialized degree of some sort?

Yes, Noga is very hobbyist friendly. When I was trying some different things, I needed the herwig book to be careful of what I was doing. It broke the meds down to the chemical level with diagrams O.O I was glazed like a donut. But it has everything you need to know about a particular med.

I have a Fish Diseases and Disorders volume set.... awesome read.
