Well I got 2 O.Clowns about a week or so ago and now I'm thinking of what fish to add next to my tank...

I dont plan to add the fish for another week or two but I'm just trying to figgure out what Id like...

Any suggestions out of the following...BTW 29G FOWLR tank w/live sand and 35lbs of live rock

Options I am thinking are: Lawnmower Blenny, Starry Blenny, Purple firefish, six line wrasse, Coral Beauty (but if i did my research correctly I believe i should add this fish last), Royal Gramma...

A very open question with many answers, so I'll just focus on what you listed.

The six line would be a mistake. Not only are they big bullies, but you won't be able to add anything else after it.

The gramma may also be aggressive to any tankmates added after it, but less likely over the six line.

Synopsis on the coral beauty is correct.

Lawn blennies are cool, but require a good supply of algae to feed on. So u need a tank with mature LR. most don't eat prepared foods.
I had a gramma, it wasn't very aggressive. It just chased away any fish that came near his cave. very nice addition of color to the tank.

I was thinking lawn blenny for algae and sand purposes as I do not have a CUC... but was worried my tank not being mature enough for him :(

You guys think I should throw in a couple of inverts in there and if so which ones?

And back to the fish question... what would your personal opinions be on the next fish to add? (doesnt have to be from the list)

you could get some hermits and snails to start.

what about a midas blenny or clown goby?

Have you looked at the Tailspot Blenny ? I have one and they are pretty cool.

Also blennies have tons of personality, and they are small. Jawfish could be a good option, but they are jumpers, so are the wrasse. the McCosker Flasher wrasse is peaceful and dosent get very big.

A clean up crew is needed as well. you will be adding a bigger bio load and the clean up crew will help battle this.

    hope this helps

Your tank isn't really big enough to support a lawnmower long term.

If you do not have a CuC you are going in the wrong sequence IMO. After that initial fish you need a CuC in there before you keep stocking. A 'couple' of inverts won't do if you really want this to be easy. Try 100 or so snails of various varieties as a CuC. ReefCleaners.org | Clean Up Crews and Macro Algae - Home

A coral beauty added now (or later) may likely be your last fish. A 29 is really too small for it IMO as is - let alone with even more fish in there...

You're starting to bump on stocking limits - not at it and it depends on your setup to large extent.

IME, 6lines are peaceful as long as the other fish are. Royal Grammas are evil evil creature. It's in the grouper family and as such has the potential of being a shrimp (and everything else) predator.

In a 29 I would not suggest putting a firefish in with either clowns or Grammas. Firefish are delicate and sensitive and very emotional turds. They'll likely be too intimidated to eat IME.

I'd say go with the 6 line and a blenny of some type that doesn't get over 3 or 4 inches (lawnmowers can get to be a foot over time)

Ok taking on your guys advice I am planning on adding a CUC asap!... I got a custom email order from ReefCleaners that says to get...

    20 Dwarf Ceriths
    5 Nassarius
    4 Florida Ceriths
    3 Blue Legs
    3 Small to Medium Nerites

My question is then... will the sixline pick on them or try to eat them...?

I would choose either the blenny or the wrasse

IME - No - never had any issues with six lines predating on grown snails or hermits other wrasse species yes, but not six lines
