Fish don't like cleaner shrimp?

I have had fish that are quite weary of shrimp......especially Fire shrimp and Peppermint Shrimp.....what kind do you have????

i can see why tangs would let the shrimp clean them

yea i hope so, he's just really afraid of me, i had noticed he jumped onto the screen door, and i went towards the tank to try to get him off, and as soon as i came near he jumped off and quickly ran away

 

i have a skunk cleaner shrimp housed with black and white clowns, helfrichi firefish, and assortment of inverts

 

I have a jawfish that hates my cleaner shrimp. They hang out right above its burrow and when they get too close he spits sand at them. Also does that to snails and hermits passing by. lol

 

lol guess he has attitued problems i noticed my cleaner shrimp and emerald crab almost got in a fight because they were right next to each other, i'm thinking they were going after the same food

 

I used to have a fire shrimp in my old 20H that would jump off of the top of my rockwork onto my royal gramma and ride it to the sand.. He was a grumpy sucker...

 

I've been having the same problem. Got a skunk cleaner going on two weeks ago and he won't touch any of my fish yet. You can see in my sig what I have. I'm really hoping that given more time the fish will come around.

guess it just takes a while then i see mine reaching towards the fish but they always refuse

 

my blenny is the only one that will let the shrimp clean. others just swim away

 

maybe they should just be called blenny shrimp instead of cleaner shrimp
