Fish dying!!!!

    I raised my ph to 8.3 and so far not other fish have died. maybe that was the problem?

    A PH of 7.8 wouldn't kill your fish though. Low oxygen would though.

    Your nitrates most likely should not read zero. Not sure if I missed it, but is it a fish only tank? During your pH buffering, what has your alkalinity been?

    Not sure of what my alkalinity is. I guess I need to buy a test kit for that. I did also point my powerheads towards the surface for more oxygen exchange so maybe that helped. I also had turbo snails and hermit crabs in the tank and none of them had died.
