Fish face peeling.

    My sailfin tangs face started peeling two days ago.
    My tank has been getting really hot lately (dont know if this is part of it)
    I have saw some signs of ich and have read that secondary bacteria infections can occur after the ich falls off?
    I do have a quarantine tank but have a new fish that I am monitoring in it.
    Does copper treat this if that is the case?
    I am willing to do whatever for this fish, he is my first fish that is the most active and I dont want him to die... Help me!!!

    -What are your params?
    -maybe bacterial?

    I would say no to lateral line erosion, his fins and everything else look perfectly fine its just one section on his face. I will work on pictures.
    Nitrates are up to 20, will be getting water for change tomorrow.

    Cold sore? YUCK! IMO some type of infection. Never seen that one before.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Looks to me like a case of LLD with a bacterial secondary infection.

    The area between the eyes is exactly why it is also referred to as Hole in the head disease.

    Should I copper treat him in my quarantine tank? I have been soaking his food in selcon and luckily he is still eating.
