Fish food advice

Hi , I'm new here and I just had my first aquarium this month. Now, I need some advice on what kind of fish food should I give to my Columbian Tetras, they look like the one in the picture here, Hyphessobrycon ecuadorensis (Columbian Tetra)
I'm giving them tetrafin but they don't seem to like it. I need an answer asap. Thanks!

they are probably not used to eating that type of food and it will take a while to adjust IMO

frozen bloodworm would be good and most fish will not turn that down
Frozen or freeze dried tubifex is another good food that IME tetra species relished
if your LFS has live bloodworm or even live Daphnia (water fleas) these food stuffs stimulate feeding reaction whilst fish are acclimatising
dont feed to much in a effort to get them feeding, as water quality issues will only add to the problem
try every so often with the flakes as once they are settled they will eat them

Hi Steve, Thanks for your advice. Where can I buy these frozen bloodworms?

 

Petsmart, Petco and most LFS sell them. Also look into Kikari foods. I'm not sure what kind of tetra option they have but their foods are my favorite for freshwater.
