Woke up this am to one of my clowns missing, I'm not a person to panic I believe this leads to knee jerk reactions and mistakes. So I kept looking for him and found him in the overflow! I tried to net him as best I could with no success..its such a small area to work in. So I left his butt in there for the day and tried to devise a simple solution to my problem and walla it dawned on me! I filled the tank to maximum capacity..I mean another centimeter would have been disaster. My wife helped me achieve this by standing on a step stool (she's short) and screaming at me to turn it off turn it off lol. Within 10 seconds of being full my clown had come over the overflow and back to his mate who was elated to see him! Ahhh stress free again! Maybe this idea has been used but I've never seen it on here..Just wanted to share my success!

Thanks...I really was perplexed as to what to do. I ran all kinds of options through my head...even going so far as to remove the plumbing and drain him into the sump lol. Glad I came up with that idea or Sunday would have been a baddd day!

Are you kidding me lol..I have two 1-1/2" pvc pipes in one overflow...I can barely get a net in there let alone a 6' 1" mans hand! You ever had a fish in an overflow? This is a built in overflow mind you, I would hope you would think anyone with enough sense to go to the restroom and make it out alive would have thought of that if possible.
