I have a cleaner wrasse that is just small enough to squeeze through the slots for the overflow. What is the best way to keep him from doing this? I've had to pull him out 3 times in the past 2 days. Getting old fast!

I was thinking of getting some small mesh and attaching it where all the holes are but I don't want it to get clogged.

Try a sponge made for filters and secure it at the top or just squeeze it in there.

You can always cut a piece of eggcrate and superglue it to the top. This way you won't need to clean the sponge.

Plastic hardware cloth is great for this.

Wow - had never heard of this stuff!! Looks exactly like the stuff from Big Als only cheaper!!!

Just make sure it does not contain anti fungal or antimicrobial agents!

A LFS gave me a piece for this exact purpose on a CPR overflow, works great.

Thanks, I think I'll try the sponge idea first. I have some laying around.
