So, finally starting to get a fish list finalized for our first 90 reef. Been adding inverts and corals till a week ago. At the moment, we have a Coral Beauty, and a Maroon Clown.

I wanna know if this setup will be alright for the tank.

    1 Yellow Tang
    2 Coral Beautys
    1 Maroon Clown
2 Wrasse (Not sure what kind... suggestions??)

Is this the most I'll want in the tank, or would is more possible.

    Thanks in advance.

Im not sure but can you keep two corals together? Also be carefull with those angels as they tend to nip/eat corals and in a reef tank idk i would never trust an angel but thats just my .02

As far as wrasse what about a pair of flashers?

I think more information about your setup and equipment is needed in order to say how much more bioload the tank could handle, but i would say probably unless you only have the tank and no filter....

I was told to never keep 2 angels in the same tank - this is aside from the fact that you are risking your corals.

I heard they will eventually kill each other/one

not sure id keep 2 coral beautys together. especially since they werent added at the same time. also its true that some angels will nip corals or clam mantles. ive got a flame and coral and have no problems , but i might be just lucky. as far as wrasses go, i agree with OP , flashers are awesome. 2 that i like are the carpenters flasher and the mccoskers flasher. if you go with 2 wrasses , might be best if theyre introduced at the same time. and the tang would be a good addition also.

I agree more info about the setup is necessary but be aware that both the maroon clown and the yellow tang can become aggressive/territorial. I honestly would choose another type of clown that's less aggressive for a community tank. Also, add the tang last if you decide to go with one.

A pair/trio of flasher/fairy wrasses are a great addition for a tank this size IMO.

Yeah, looked into the 2 CB.. decided against that idea. Never seen a flasher wrasse before, but looked them up a little last night, liking what I'm seeing.

My dad bought the clown already, his tank, his idea even tho I advised against it haha.

If the tang is added, will definitely be last. I'm questioning that tho, as I've read that some tangs and CB dont really get along. Anything on that?

    Setup:
Actual volume of the display is 92 gallons, 20 gallon sump, ASM Skimmer raited for I believe 100, or 110.
*suppose it's not really a 90 reef then eh oops for title error*

Again, thanks for the opinions and advice everyone =)

ive got a purple tang along with the 2 angels. and it hasnt shown any aggression to either of them. initially he wasnt that fond of my 1 spot rabbit , but know theyve become buds and swim around together. but i guess one thing to reemeber in all ive said, these are my experiences , may not work for yourself or others. fish are unpredictable.

Agree with above - forget the 2nd coral beauty. The rest of the list seems ok, but just keep an eye on your maroon clown - they are very aggressive (of all the things on your list, I might have added the maroon last).

little note: rock displaces water... so the actual volume of the tank water is reduced by the volume of the rock.. (and anything else in there).

I was reminded of that when I pulled a rock out the other day for some cleaning and my ATO proceeded to replace the volume ::)
