a wrasse for sure! maybe bluestar or 4 line or 6 line or mystery wrasse. an dwarf angel maybe... just use caution, a mated pair of something its always fun to have that. so maybe clowns or something? a blenny maybe bicolor? they like to perch which is fun to watch.

You can't go wrong with a Yellow tang, and their color really livens up a tank. If you are masochistically inclined, get a Mandarin Goby.

i would say for tangs you should probably stick to having a yellow tang in the 55, i have a custom built 57 gallon tank and when i looked into what tangs I could get I was really disappointed to find that the only real option was a yellow tang, all other tangs require at least 75 gallon tanks because they are fast swimmers and need lots of room!

actually koles are the only tang that i think are good for a 55 they max out at 7 inches. or tomini that maxes out at 6 inches. i may get some thing else small. who knows. mandarin for sure, once i get the diatom bloom im outting in copepods (copepods eat diatom) so i can have an outbreak in copepods. keep them coming.
