I've recently purchased a very small yellow tang, a small copper-banded butterfly, and a very small emperor angel. The emperor is eating okay, but the tang and the butterfly will not eat anything I offer. I am using frozen brine, baby brine, mysis shrimp, spirillina, algae sheets, reef plankton, emerald entree, marine cusine, squid. The emperor went into an established reef tank only because a baby Koran angel started nipping the emperor's tail. I know the emperor will most likely start on some of the corals, but right now I want him to survive. The tang and butterfly are in a fish only tank.

If you have a piece of rock with algae on it put that in with the tang, might get it to start eating. Don't know about the butterfly fish they are so hit and miss. Try looking up their care and see what foods are suggested.

maybe try live brine.....that might work and if you crunch up flakes and let them sink the tang should eat that too
