    Both tangs made it through the night ok and the leopard is still sleeping in the sand wont see him till lights on this evening

    Sorry to hear that. Definitely keep an eye on the other for velvet. It's very well established that dinofalagellate cysts can lay dormant for years in the benthos. I'm not sure about Amyloodinium ocellatum specifically, but it is a parasitic dinofalagellate, so, it seems reasonable. It certainly is consistent with your outcome.

    You had a tremendous amount of fish in that tank though, so, certainly other factors are possible as well. O2 with that many fish could be an issue, the tangs and rabbit fish are very active, still for death to occur usually you need to get below 5mg/l, which with a skimmer is tough to do. I lost some fish due to lack of O2, but that was with a closed top tank, after the return line from the sump came disconnected. Also, bacterial blooms and such can lead to this, but you didn't mention anything about cloudy water.

    Looking for toxins though, there just dosn't seem to be many that will effect fish and not corals. Maybe a few neurotoxins and ingested toxins. Any sea apples, or cucumbers?

    None that I put in and haven't seen any hitch hikers....the rabbitfish has no psyical signs on him qs to why de died. He musta died just b4 I got there his eyes weren't even clouded yet.also no cloudy water.I had a bacterial bloom when I first started my biopellets but that was along time agoband the biopellets have been offline and out of the system for months now.the foxfaces gills weren't red like I would think they would be from amonia burn. I did notice my dendros looked weird,swollen. Never seen them do that before.all other corals seem normal and I saw my sun coral open for the first time in ages......very odd. Im still going with something in the water carried in through the window.pollen of some sort mabe?mabe someone in the neighborhoood had trees sprayed? Idk but either the storm has passed or im in the eye of it.....wont know till tonight
