I usually use an opened top bucket. You can buy a battery powered pump and keep the temp. in your car decent. Or, you can bag them and find a LFS to hook you up with some oxygen. Still want to make sure temp. stays stable.

I agree w/ mission. 5 gal bucket, battery powered air pump and watch temp. it's only about a 4 hr drive. then another couple hrs to set up tank for fish. so maybe 6-8 hrs in bucket. i'll think they'll be ok. i had 4 fish in 5 gal bucket w/ air for over 24 hrs, all made it.

Battery powered air pump is a must I would use the 5 gallon buckets that you get your salt in because of the locking lid just make a hole for the air line. Watch the temp that is key I don't know what the temp is there this time of year . Keep the pail out of the sun obviously. I moved my buddy this winter and he has a 155 gallon shark/Trigger tank and a 150 gal fully stocked reef and he did't lose a thing in the move ( except the frags of coral I made him give me for helping him move those tanks) Bring as much of your tank water that you can to put back in the tank when you re-set up the system we brought a lot of his water he only had to make 70 gallons total after the move.
