Why would the ASM G2 be better than a Octopus?

From what I have read, the pump is better on the G2. It's not so important I guess, since pumps can be changed. Depending on your tank size, 6 fish is a pretty heavy load. Remember the general rule is 1" of fish per 10G of water, or something like that. I think we are all guilty of grossly exceeding that quota. I dropped $400 on my EV-180 for my 150G tank, only to realize I should have gone bigger. Now I recently dropped some serious money for my BKM180. It's not so bad since the EV-180 can go into my 65G tank when I get that going. But if it didn't have a use, it would have been a $400 waste. It's smarter to get the correct one right from the start, than to have to buy the better suited one down the road.

I have heared the 1" of fish per gallon. 1" per 10 would be like one Tang...;D
Hard decision to make just because everyone like there own skimmer,a dn I don't think I could ever spend over $350 for a skimmer.
