Thanks for the advice, so do most of you agree that 2-3 is about my max on fish? Any suggestions for one more that will do well with the maroon and royal gramma?

    Thanks again!

Royal Gramma's can eat your shrimp. Mine ate all my cleaner and peppermint shrimps.... I no longer have the Gramma.

They're in the same family as groupers... another invert eater.

If you want shrimp (particularly in a smallish tank), I'd stay away from the Gramma (or basslet's and groupers in general).

Well I'm SHOCKED :eek: to hear that since EVERYTHING I've ever read or seen on the subject suggests otherwise. I can safely say I've NEVER seen 2 angels in the same tank together...not a household size anyway. I guess there are always exceptions.

Even now, months after I added them and they were getting along fine, my powder blue and yellow tang are starting to fight. All was pretty well after the first days but as the months go by they're getting worse and worse. And I have a 125gallon.

Honestly if you get a maroon, I wouldn't add anything else. That would be about max IMO.
Please keep in mind maroons are the biggest of all clowns by far and will grow to about 5-6". I would still stick to my guns on my first post, and say that even the maroon has no business in a 29 ;)
And clowns should really be kept in pairs IMHO. Much more entertaining. You could easily pull off a pair of percs or false percs and a few other smaller fish.
