Few questions about fish since ich wiped out my tank.
-What do you do when you get a new fish? The WHOLE procedure(accimating/QT)
-Im going to wait a month before i add more fish for the ich to be COMPLETLY gone. Is that good enough or longer?
-I wanna keep a tang, pair of clowns, and a group of chromis. Will they get along? And i know to put the tang in last but how should i put in the clowns and chromis?
-I understand that the scopas tang is 15 inches fully matured. But if I order one that is 1-1.5 inches, how long will he stay happy in a 55 gallon?
Because i do plan on upgrading, but not too soon.
-chromis can stay in groups, right?
-Some people say you have to wait a year to add an anenome? is that true? And will both them host that anenome or only one will?

    :)THANKS!:)

I'm bad on the QT side, but I only temp acclimate and then pour the fish into a net and introduce to the tank. Sometimes I also water acclimate.

Six weeks might be better if you have no fish in the tank.

Fish should get along because they eat different foods in nature. Go Chromis, clowns then tang. I don't know how fast the tang will grow but it could outgrow your tank real quick.

Put the chromis in in odd numbers.

Yes you want a well established tank when you add an anemone. You need to have it completely stabilized. The clowns may or may not host. You don't know until you put the nem in.

So wait 6 weeks, get 5 chromis(temp acclimate and water acclimate then put em in). Then a few weeks later get my clowns. Do you suggest ordering a pair offline or buying two clowns at the same time from my LFS? cause i did that last time and they were really getting along nicely and swimming with each other. But that might have been luck. And how soon is real quick? less than a year? I prolly wont get a nem for a while though Thanks for the help!

I don't know what their growth rate is but if it gets to 15 inches you may be looking at 6 months or less. Plan is good, might wait longer after adding 5 fish at once. Make sure any mini cycle has completed before buying. If the clowns are mated i would buy online, if not I would go to the LFS and see if I saw two swimming together. Waiting a year for the nem is a good idea.

yeah it says they get to about 12 inches. So ill hold off on that tang untill upgrade. Im gunna buy online i think just to be safe. But why would a mini cyle start? From adding those 5 fish?

Fish add a lot to the bio load of a tank. 5 is a big change to the bio load. It should be very quick, but you should test just to be safe.
