Fish seem happier with skimmer off

filter has only been off for about half an hour, it's amazing the difference

 

How's the sump planning?

 

umm still not sure if it's going to happen, parents freaked out when i was talking about putting another tank in my room, i already have 3, don't think they'll let me get a 4th.

Is it possible for anybody to direct me to a filter sock that would work on my filter? I prefer it to be from marinedepot because i will be placing an order there in a few days

 

The higher the micron the better. Almost any filter sock would work, you can just place a zip tie around the sock to attach it to the discharge.

how often would they need to be rinsed off

 

That one would work fine, you'll prob want to clean it once a week or as part of your normal routine when doing maintenance.

4 would be plenty, the size of the ring isn't really relative for what your using it for. You'll more than likely maybe cut the ring off or customize the sock to fit your needs.

 

one thing that's really cool about having no bubbles in my tank, i can actually see the water movement against my rocks. It's hard to explain but it it looks like cool
