I have a small softy (most mushrooms, leathers, and kenya trees/xenias ) tank / fowlr kind of setup with the following fishes:

    - Maroon Clown
    - Blue Jaw Trigger
    - Blue Tang
    - 6 line wrasse
    - Emporer Angel (juvenile)

All are health and around 4-5" (even the huge 6-line!), so its a semi-aggressive tank. I'm looking for suggestions on other species i can add to the tank without causing too much aggression. I tried to introduce a long nose butterfly recently and the Angel just bullied him so quickly returned him. I'm leaning to add:

    - Stock/Purple Square Anthias
    - Bannerfish Butterfly
    - Diamond watchman goby

Any other suggestions? I'd like it to be as colorful as possible.

the angel will more than likely eat the coral.

but they all fit in there. :p

ever thought of a school of chromis? or anthias?

yeah, but even though the angel might have not nipped yet.. its only a matter of time really..

i had to get rid of my koran angel in order to make my 150G a reef.

and schools of fish always look amazing in a tank, and add so much color.

What about more in the Tang family? Here's my current stock list in a slightly larger tank:

    Yellow Watchman Goby
    Blue Spotted Watchman Goby
    Lawnmower Blenny
    Midas Blenny
    Bangaii Cardinal
    Flame Angel
    Pair Maroon Clowns
    Pair Flame Wrasse's
    Labouti Wrasse
    Blue Hippo Tang
    Purple Tang
    Chevron Tang
    Sailfin Tang
    Orange Spotted Rabbitfish
    10 (6 Green, 4 Blue) Chromis

The lawnmower, although not colorful, adds a lot of character to the tank.

The Flame/Labouti Wrasse's add a LOT of color the tank and mine are always out and swimming in the water column but I don't believe they'd get along well with your 6-Line.

Flame Angels tend to be hit and miss. Mine seems to behave well (not eating corals) but you never know. I had a clam go missing recently, could have been the Flame.

You could easily add a tang or two. A Purple or Gem (;D) tang would look great!

you have alot of room. In my 180, I have:

    Sohal tang 9"
    Purple Tang 5"
    naso tang 7"
Pyramid Butterfly (hopefully getting 2 more)
Aussie Black Percula (one more planned)
Bangaii Cardinal male (one or two more planned)
    Fat 6 line
royal blue Cherub angel (one more planned maybe) has been a model citizen with all corals

I want to add some firefish, and then maybe some bartlett anthias.

bvb - i have plenty of rockwork so should have lots of safe hiding places.

el - i had a school of 7 chromis before on my 125. looking for larger fishes now in the 180. and no, the emporer hasn't picked on any corals..yet. :X

dnyce - thanks for the suggestion. i was sticking to just 1 species per in the tank right now. do you have any problems with your midas?

baxtor - do you have any issues with your hawkfish?

pickupman - i had a pyramid before. really liked it since it was so docile. but my angel bullied him around since their shape is similar. :(

Well - i picked up my fav fish again...a 4" harlequin tusk. it will be replacing the six line wrasse soon (he'll go into a separate small fish 50 gallon tank). I'm also considering a purple tilefish, but have yet to seen one in person....
