After the flame angel disaster last weekend I am going to slowly start stocking the tank. I was thinking about a couple blue-green chromis and maybe a sgt major damsel if they are compatible (probably not). But suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've got 2 b/g chromis. Both are very colorful and active. I think they are a great addition to most tanks. I personally would stay away from the s. major. They are aggressive and turn drab as they age. A good addition idea, how about firefish?

They are known jumpers. Lost mine after about a year.

never thought about it. I saw the sgt major at a lfs today when i returning a brittle star. I guess thats why he was in is own tank.

The chromis are an excellent choice, especially stocking them first.

    What size is the tank?

    Just some suggestions:

A couple of Chromis and 2-3 of the following.
Goby, Ocelleris Clown or two, Royal Gramma, Coral Beauty Angel. I think I listed them in correct order (least aggressive to most aggressive). You obviously can't include them all, but they will all get along.

If you do the Coral Beauty, I would limit it to one other fish (besides the Chromis), as the Coral Beauty is about equal to two of those others.

My sgt. major was never mean. He did jump to his death. I would not get one.

How about a sixline wrasse? I have one in my 30, very colorful, active, interesting to watch and most importantly pretty hardy after acclimation.
