I'm looking to get one or to more fish for my tank. I currently have a skunk shrimp and a springeri dottyback (not full grown yet), love the springeri hes so cool :). I'm concerned b/c the dottyback has been the only fish in the tank for about a month now, and I'm pretty sure its going to think it owns the whole tank. It's been fine with the shrimp so far, no problems there. I was thinking if I got a fish that was semi-agressive, or maybe a pair of fish, it would be less likely to kill what I put in here. I also have some Xenia and an anemone, so it would need to be reef safe. Any suggestions?

Tank size is in my sig

A sixline would be nice, royal gamma, a yellow tailed damsel or even a nice pair of clowns.

no i think the sixline and gramma are both out, the springeri is territorial and likes caves...so i dont think it would get along with cave dwelling fish. the yellowtail or the clowns seem cool, i've missed having clowns in the tank

^ you have a valentin puffer in a 24 gal? isn't that a bit cramped? Anyways man, i personally have alot of knowledge with dotty backs. I own one and i know exactly how territorial they can be. I would honestly choose wisely, but its gonna be a hard pic. My tiny little dottyback nearly killed a dragon wrasse that was twice its size. It did kill several damsels, and its currently working on my coral beauty. It would be best to get a very active fish that can easily hold its own against a dotty back. make sure it is larger then the dotty as well.

^ hey! i have the same exact nano as yours! yours looks alot nicer though. When i went to Florida for spring break, the genius who watched our house left my light on for the entire 7 days.... never turned it off at night. Algae everywhere...

yea, light timers are awesome. Looks like it is going to be a tough pick. I'm kind of leaning towards the pair of clowns, the other pair I had were pretty agressive...but i think im going to do alot of waiting to get a good sized pair (the female I got before was pretty large). I think whats really limiting me is my tank size and my shrimp. So I guess I have some more thinkin to do. I just don't want to get rid of the dottyback or the shrimp. I'll let you guys know what my final pick is and how it all works out :)

I thought grammas, dottybacks, and pseudochromis were not compatible. My vote is for a six line. It would likely clash with your current fish for a couple days, but they'd be fine. Damsels are also an option. Firefish would get beat up.
