Has anyone had success with getting various fish to spawn?
I am looking for something easy that broadcast spawns daily.

So far I have gotten 6-line wrasses to spawn daily, however their spawning ends with them jumping out of the water and sometimes they end up missing the tank on the descent... thus making the mortality rate high :( Replacing a female is easy but replacing a male is much more complex.

Friends of mine have gotten mandarins and angelfish of the Genicanthus genus to spawn daily. Anyone else have some experiences to share?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I have read that some have great success with your average Blue Damsel. Not sure how often they spawn and it's not a broadcast. It's larvae non the less eventually.

I could just buy like 10 and throw them in my sump. Would never put those nasty territorial fish in my DT though lol

    thank you!

I can 2nd that. My ORA pair have bred 2 times now. I had one baby last 9 months before I found it on the Vortech screen. This pair actually are quite peaceful - with others - they were brutes to their babies though.

They haven't bred in a while now even though my tank is stabilized. I have a theory that this is because I feed them less presently due to algae problems I had and a busy schedule.

A few times the dude doesn't eat for a while and it has looked like he has eggs in his mouth but then one day he starts eating again. Not sure if he really had them and ate them or not.

Not a broadcast spawn, but I can't stop my clowns from being a spawn factory now, 2-3 days after each clutch hatches.

Assessors & dwarf angelfish. Although dwarf angelfish fry are nearly impossible to care for, fang blennies are another option.
