My male picaso clown decided to talk a walk around my basement. It sucks because I just put the light on and have been running an open top for not even a week. I thought clowns didn't jump :-/

Any fish can jump if it wants to.. Some just tend not do. Gobies are such a pain!

I've had a few clownfish jump out. I even had one on the floor of a customers home. I got there to do the service, look down and there is an almost dry clownfish. I put him back into the water and let the water move his lungs for a little while but had to get to work and leave eventually. He was there the next day, swam a little fun though :)

    Really?
Unless you have a dog or a cat that would eat the fish that jumped out of the tank, I'd keep looking.

Who knows- he could be in your overflow/sump.

No dogs or cats. I have a strainer in my overflow and he wasn't in there. I mean he could be in one of the wholes in the rocks but they never go near the rocks so who knows.

IMO- if you can't find it, it didnt jump... Check behind the tank.

hhhmmm that is odd. could it be mantis shrimp in your tank? maybe hes just hiding.

i know this is a LONG shot but i heard of one guy having all of his fish dissapear over the weekend and he looked in his tank only to find an octopus staring right back! no you prob dont have a cephalopod in your tank but, you might want to do an overnight stake out just to see if its a mantis or a gorilla crab. imo
