    Hi all

on every previous reef tank I set up over 50 gallons
I used a YTB Damsel, introduced 2 weeks after set up and that was my cycling method - Honest - I never lost one and I never removed them later either

This time, I have a 5ft - 70 plus gallon reef thats been set up, using cured live rock, and half of a massive prawn (Longistine ) running without lights for 5 weeks now

I want to add my 1st fish in another 3 weeks or so ( by 8 weeks in the dark hopefully any algae potential would have been averted)

    my question is
for those of you who cycled using this method , what was the 1st fish you introduced?

because I dont want a Damsel in this set up, but my gut is telling me, I should send in 1 of the hardy boys 1st to check my set up out for me?

    Steve

Do you want a clown? You could add that first. Or a royal gramma?

thanks to both for the responces

I am starting this set up with a fish list, which is the 1st time ever
I normally select each addition as I progress

    This time I want
    Kole Tang
    Radient Wrasse
An other wrasse - considering Yellow or Christmas Wrasse

I want just those 3 fish in it
and I was going to introduce them in that order

    Steve
