    Hey guys,

So I just bought a used FishNeedIt T5 fixture to use on my 15 gallon. It is the 24" model that has 4 bulbs. The current bulbs are about a year old, so they are due for replacement - here's my dillemma. Should I buy 4 ATI bulbs for about $100, or should I buy a new FNI fixture that has individual reflectors. (The newer FNI fixtures do have individual reflectors, right?) The reason I ask is because the older fixture I have only has a single piece of aluminum that is bent around each bulb.

Would the FNI fixture w/o individual reflectors and with 4 ATI bulbs be able to grow SPS, clams, anenomes, etc? Or should I just go with another fixture?? decisions, decisions... Let me know what you guys think!

My 4 bulb isnt individual reflectors and I'm growing clams. I would replace the bulbs.

The shaped reflector is much better than a flat one just get ATI bulbs.

    Welcome to 3reef.

TheT5 master has spoken. I just ordered 2 Blueplus, one blue special, one purple special from the T5 pictures thread, that was the color combo I liked the best. How is it for growth though with all the blue spectrum? Im assuming pretty good since ATI bulbs seem to be pretty reputable.

Your growth will be very good.

Alright I got the lights installed and they look great. Now how should I light acclimate my corals? My old light was a single RapidLED 12 led par38 lamp.
