fishneedit vs. odyssea

I know I have had a lot of threads on this but which would you guys rather have an odyssea 30in 380watt halide with pcs or fishneedit 250watt metal halide. Will the fishneedit be okay mounted on the tank? Are the ballast better with fishneedit? What is the overall decision odyssea or fishneedit?

 

Never had or heard of fishneedit. Have used odyssea 175 w MH, it burned out about two years after I put it on my DT. I for one will never use anything made by odyssea anymore . Remember you get what you pay for.

 

I checked ther website, pretty cool looking. The MH pendants look like my Aqua Medic lights. I paid more for one pendant than the whole fishneedit fixture!

 

idk i like my fishneedit pendant but i just got it
so time will tell how it holds up
also with the fishneed it you can get t5's to hook on the sides of the pendants

never had an odyssea

 

I wouldn't do the odyssea, I tried one and ended up replacing everything but the fixture.Some people have had luck with them but the majority have had problems so it's a gamble with the odyssea.....feel lucky?

 

The fish need it stuff looks good and very reasonably priced. The one thing i did notice with the MH is there are no fans. You might want to purcharse a clip on one with it to keep those bad boys cool.

 

I went with the fishneedit 250watt pendant. Does anyone know if the tank mounts are any good because I cant hang it. Simon from fishneedit is a great guy to deal with. Aquatrader can go ***** themselves they have the worst customer service.
