ok so far the seal has held it only needs to hold about 8 more hours i did brace the tank but im not gonna say how ok it is a rachet strap but i took a 2x4 exact same length of tank front and back held them up and gently put the strap on it. no its not perm. i got my overflow cut outa the tank and drying in my new 20 long got it drilled last night about to paint the back in a few mins and get the plumbing glued in my plan is to drain the new old tank into a rubbermaid container tonight take tank off of stand hook my return up and fill the new new tank up should only take about an hour once i start draining

If you have a 20g bowing I'd say your probably have a reptile tank not an aquarium. Glad to hear your replacing it.;)

no its not a reptile tank its an aquaeon 20 tall its same as marineland. AGA (all glass aquariums) looking at an old aquaeon i have im noticing that general quality control is lacking i also notice it from the 20 long, the one i bought 2 years ago that is now my sump verses the same identical 20 long i just bought yesterday qc is also starting to lack on this tank also.
i guess in the future im gonna have to go a different direction because it indicates that aquaeon/aga/marineland is starting to skimp on the smaller tanks

Glad you were able to find another tank and get the new tank setup. Good luck with the wet test.

everything is good ran all night no leaks today the 1" drain with the 3/4" drain is alot quieter than my dual 3/4" drains i had them darn near maxed out and flow was still alot below what i wanted now i just gotta stop the sump for a lil while while i thin my overflow teeth so i can crank the pump up just a lil more

just got back from store picked up my sand now im waiting for my water to clear enough to see if i need more in it or not
