Hi, I have a 20 gallon tall tank now, I'm looking into getting a new light fixture for it and was looking into these,

    2Ft/4Bulbs fixture

    or

    24'' Power Compact Aquarium Light 2X 65 w/ Moon Lunar - eBay (item 350408273916 end time Mar-27-11 06:54:08 PDT)

I am on a budget and was looking for something under $100. As for these fixtures, which of these would be better? I have some beginner corals now,(xenia, hammer, GSP, and some ricordia) but I want to get an anemone. I have done some research and I know they need a lot of light, which of these fixtures would be better? I don't want to go off the wattage because I know that is unreliable for measuring lighting, but getting PAR values for these lights specifically isn't very realistic... :(I was looking into maybe a sebae or bubble anemone if that helps, I know different anemones have different requirements for light.

If you know of any other fixtures that would be better,(within the budget) please feel free to let me know! Any info is appreciated. :)

    Thanks in advance everyone!

    Welcome to 3reef,

The T5HO would be your best bet. Get it with 2 white and 2 blue bulbs. Get the 10000K for a whiter look and the 14000K for a little bluer look.

Ok. That's what I was leaning towards. Anyone else?

if you're any good at diy then you may want to look into building your own led setup you can do it cheap (relitively, but for a 20 tall you could definately stay under a hundred dollars) and get much brighter light out of a smaller package. you should check out Super Bright LEDs – LED Lights, Bulbs, and Accessories its a great website they have tons and its where i got my driver for my setup. if you wanna know more let me know ill be glad to help
