When a shark goes into our habitat and bites one of us let me know. Until then, we are in his domain and he is king there not us.

I grew up at the beach and have snorkled and gone scuba diving with sharks in numerous locations. As long as you leave then alone, they leave you alone. What is clear water to you is not clear to them. Their eye sight is not their main sense for finding prey so their eyes are not as developed as ours.

It was up near Pfeifer state beach. Our news rarely touches that stuff even tho it's 45min north of San Simeon. Some good spots up there 8)

yes if you take into account how many people are in the water every day and how few incidents. it is more dangerous driving to the beach or crossing the busy street to get to it. i would feel 100% safe swimming with florida sharks underwater in scuba....its when your bobbing and splashing on the surface that worries more. most bites that happen in the surf where people are imo may be due to people kicking up so much sand and the waves stirring/bubbling the water and the sharks vision is impared and they make a mistake. the great whites over in cal however i dont know. i just know i would never go in the water with those around.
