I just wanted to know how much of a threat Flame Angels are to clams and other sessile invertebrates and corals. I keep hearing these warnings advising against them but I saw a flame and a lemonpeel angelfish in a reef aquarium with no signs of coral pickings or clam damage. If not a flame, then how would a flame hawk be? You can tell I like fire ;D. You can see my livestock in my signature.

As far as I know about angels they are all reef safe with caution. I have no experiance with any angels I like to pressy luck with wrasses I

Your tank is a little on the small side for a flame angel, especially with 2 clowns, a wrasse and a goby already in there.

It is a bit small as iLLwiLL said. The other thing to consider is that some dwarf angels are fine and some arent fine in reef tanks. I have a coral beauty that is fine with everything except my kenya tree. I cant catch the little guy or I wouldnt have a problem with him anymore =)

+K and +1 for iLLwiLL. A 24g tank is too small for any dwarf angel alone, let alone with other live stock.

Generally speaking, you could get an angel fish and have no problems, other times you could get one and it cause havoc in your tank, it's really up to the individual. Also, generally, the larger the tank and better fed it is, the less likely it will pick at corals/inverts, although the threat is always there. But as the others have said, your tank is too small for an angel.
