    i had my flame for almost 12 years then one night i left the back of my tank uncovered and found him on the floor the next day. i highly recommend these fish, they are awesome !

    Make sure you soak everything in garlic/selcon/asthataxin and see how it goes.

    I don't know what the original owner fed him, but I did see him attempt to eat some Mysis, but spit it right back out. Now I have to find something he will eat.

    put some reef chili in the mysis mix. Also, try algae strips

    Flame Angels are well worth the risk IMO, beautiful and energetic with lots of personality once it's settled in.

    Give him time to adjust. Mine took a few weeks and now he will eat anything I put in the tank from flake to frozen. Eats like a piggy! Reef chili is a coral food that may intice a feeding response. I strictly use it for my corals.

    agreed other than not picking from an algae clip mine would eat anything offered.

    Hopefully not. If so, hopefully he doesn't get a taste.

    I periodically check my LFS for a Flame, I looking for a really little one. I've seen a few small ones they've had in the past that will be fine in my 30 gal for two years or so before I upgrade....
